Now Bildad speaks. God has both dominion and fear, through which he achieves peace in Heaven (Job 25:2). So, he asks how man can be righteous before God (Job 25:4 –6)?
Job now answers Bildad. Job asks if they have helped the weak, counseled the unwise with sound knowledge (Job 26: 2-3). Additionally, he asks for whom they speak (Job 26:4). He then goes on to speak of things that are known to God but are completely unknown to man (Job 26: 6-10). Job goes on to speak of the power of God (Job 26:11-13). He says this is just a sample of God’s ways and we only get a glimpse, so who can know the limits to God’s power (Job 26:14).
Job continues to declare that God has caused his suffering (Job 27:2). He also declares that he was innocent (Job 27: 3-6). Job sees his adversaries as being wicked and without hope when they die because they cannot cry out to God at that time (Job 27: 7-10). Job then describes his revelation concerning God. During their life the
wicked may have children, and acquire riches, but in the end, it is the righteous and innocent who will profit (Job 27: 13-17). The wicked will lose everything and receive the terrors that come with judgement that they try futilely to escape (Job 27: 19-23).
Job goes on to discuss mining for precious materials and all the human endeavor that goes into it (Job 28: 1-19). Job then asks where wisdom and understanding come from (Job 28: 20-22). Job then explains that wisdom and understanding is found in God. He
sees everything and controls everything. Wisdom for men is a fear of the Lord, and turning away from what He declares evil is understanding (Job 28: 23-30).
